Personal tasks
Guys, I've been using "shock-horror" your competition, actually, I switched from them to you. However, one of the features they had, that I kind of liked, was the ability to create personal tasks. Whilst I becoming more interested in the SaaS approach, I generally can't stand having 10+ IE/Firefox windows open as I try to manage ZOHO, my online banking, gmail, remember the milk, etc... Add notes to Milestones
It would be useful to have the possibility to add notes also at Milestone level
Assign Tasks?
When I create a task, the only option is to assign it to myself. I cannot assign it to another user.

Hi Here are some feature requests: 1) Allow to specify task duration in hours. I have asked for this several times before - each time you have promised to have it ready within a month. So I expect this will come soon. 2) Include notes in the e-mail notifications. 3) Allow to assign tasks and to send notifications to more than a single user. 4) Assign documents to specific tasks. 5) More intuitive ways to move tasks. Adding attachments to tasks or task notes
Guys, Great work with the tasks/comments -- one addition that would be useful, that I can't seem to find a way of doing, would be to allow the addition of attachments to tasks. For example -- this forum software has this ability -- add a note yourself and you'll see what I mean. Why would this be useful I hear you ask? Writer in Zoho Projects does not work
When I edit a document in Zoho Projects, none of my changes are saved, and the document version number does not change. I am also unable to create new documents using writer in Zoho Projects. Sheet is working fine.
Search
As we've built up our projects/milestones/task lists etc, it is becoming increasinlgy more difficult to find tasks. Is there a SEARCH function in Projects I can find or are there plans to launch one? Thanks, arathecoach

I have been going through different websites for web project management, and they all say "You get a trial version of 30 days" I was wondering if this website is the same? Spreadsheet/Writer, Offline Update/Backup
Hi, I really like Zoho Project for our company and am very excited to get a chance to try business (I applied under using the name mojimoji for the site) I have a few suggestions. Users and Roles - Advanced features wanted
Hi, I'm new to ZOHO Projects, and so far I like it very much. But there is one major feature lacking. I would LOVE to have more influence on what users can do or see. Ideally I'd like to limit some users to seeing only tasks that are assigned to them - and nothing else. But as far as I understand you don't have such a role now, right? Contractors cannot upload documents
Anyone else having this problem? I have two contractors who cannot upload documents, and their posts do not display on the forum. (An e-mail is sent out with the post, but it is not on in the forum after the e-mail is sent)

Better Explanation of "Client" users in Projects

ZOHO docs not saving

auto end date when creating a milestone
i am creating milstones for march 2008. I do: create new milstone, input a start date (21 march 2008), then i have to input the end date . but the field default value is still TODAY (invalid as before the starting date) and i have to browse the calendar up to march again much better would it be to have the end date set to 21 march 2008 automaticly as soon as i select the starting date. thanks jacopo3001
milestone time relation
i have the luck to be planning my own milestone (and not being victim of client's time) so, what i do is to create a list of milestones aimed to complete my project in the long term. after i am done with making the list, i go to report>milestone view to review my work flow on a time line. Now, here i may realize that too many milestones overlap in the same period, or the sequence in time is just not right, therefore i'd need to change each milestone dates. Once you enter a start date for a task, you cannot remove it
Hi, I think I've found a bug for Zoho Project. Currently, if you set a start date for a task, you cannot remove it. I mean, you can change it to another start date, but... what if you would like not to have a start date at all for the task? E-mail notifications
I suggest either making e-mail notifications automatic for company members, and changing the current interface. My clients and subcontractors never figure out that you need to select the names in the current box, and therefor no one ever receives an e-mail notification about a new post, etc. Check boxes would be more intuitive than a list of names to highlight - the current interface suggests that the names in the box are going to be notified. Project Title needs to show on every screen
I am sitting here working in my Zoho Projects and just realized we need an addition to the system very badly. It is very easy to get lost because the title of the project you are working on is not shown on every screen/tab as you move through the system. This is a major flaw in the system and should be very easy to remedy. Also, the project does not stay highlighted in the left-had project list. Thanks. Gary gtdriski

We can currently move tasks from one Task List to another. So now it would be very helpful to ... 1) move Task Lists from one Milestone to another. 2) move Milestones from one Project to another. 3) move Task Lists from one Project to another. 4) have an option per Milestone Task List to show that Task List on the General task list tab. change task's date within report view
I create the tasks in the Tasks list view. I assign a owner and a date to it. Then, i go to reports, I filter by user, and this gannt chart helps me to understand how many tasks are each of my staff doing everyday. What could happen here is that i could realize that they have too many tasks on a certain date, too few on another, or just not well organized. Right now there is no way to change the task date within the report view. So i'll have to go back to the task list, search the task i wanna change,
Multiple Task Edit & Notes In Emails
It would be nice to select all the tasks or a number of tasks and update all at the same time - like changing who the task belongs to, or a due date. Also when a user is notified of a task change it would be better if the notes field was included

Zoho write is almost unusable form within project When I create a new doc from project, and then try to spell check the doc it frezees and asks me to add a name for the doc. I already named it in project and there is no way for me to name it in write jed
can't add RSS to iGoogle
from inside my project, when i click the RSS button i get promted with a httpasswd window to input my login information. Only with login I can access to my rss url. therefore, when i try to add that RSS to my iGoogle, google cannot login to that URL, and so the connection fail. I guess you should simply change the login type with a normal html form (so that it can be accessed within google) instead that with server httppassword. thanks!
alternative task listings
hi. i almost like everything in the design of your application, but there is one think uneasy, i just reazlied what is it: (as you), we have a website . our tasks are devided in different lists, such as CONTENT, DESIGN, SEO, BUGs... and we like it this way. Inside each list, tasks have their own proirity, which again is good. But, sometime to have a full picture of the situation, we'd like to see all the tasks together, in order of prioirity, without any division between them ... i am arrongant enough
Invalid SSL Certificate
When we goto our page (https://ourcompany.projects.zoho.com) we get a certificate error because the host doesn't match the certificate. The SSL certificate appears to be a wildcard RapidSSL certificate for *.zoho.com which doesn't include 4th level domains I believe. You'd have to get another wildcard ssl certificate for *.projects.zoho.com I think, could definitely be wrong though.
Tab Control
The request is for the administrator to be able to Turn On/ Turn Off Tabs on a per project basis. I would like to provide my clients access to the project site, but there are some features I don't use which I would like to turn off in order to reduce confusion. Dashboard | Tasks & Milestones | Calendar | Meetings | Documents | Timesheet | Reports | Forums | Users For example, since Timesheet is not fuctional enough for my business, I would like to turn it off.

I'ld like to implement Zoho project for a commitee of 100 persons splited in 4 groups (but 1 person can be member of 2 groups at same time). But all the members of this comitee should have the read on the other project. So will it be possible to implement en ACL mangment more modulable than "employee, manager, etc.."? Meeting Request
I think it would be great to have some meeting scheduling functionality (see, e.g. Doodle, Timebridge) built into Zoho Projects. Another huge plus would be the ability to post a wiki-style knowledgebase in Projects (see, e.g. Central Desktop, which also has a database function). jstarkweather
