A Trip down the Memory Lane of Zoho Invoice's 2018

2018 has been a productive year for Zoho Invoice. We rolled out new product updates, enhancements, various integrations and we hope that these made your invoicing experience better. As we inch towards the final moments of this year, here are the highlights of some of the major product updates.



Transaction Approval:

Getting your transactions approved and then sending them to your customers is one way of error free invoicing. Using the Transaction Approval feature, transactions can be submitted for approval and once the approver approves it, the very same can be sent to your clients. You can assign your users as Submitters and Approvers based on their roles in your organization. A well validated transaction can never go wrong. So, if you're yet to try this feature, you can read through our help document and set it up.




GDPR
 

Being a cloud based software, safeguarding our customer's data is one of our prime responsibilities. To comply with GDPR, we made the following enhancements in Zoho Invoice.

 

  • Sensitive information will be stored as Personally Identifiable Information(PII) in Zoho Invoice. We have brought in an option to restrict/grant access to the sensitive information of your customers within the user level. You can select which of your users can have access to this while creating user roles link.

 

Users with this access can perform the following actions,

 

  • Encrypt and save a newly created custom field.

  • Export PII while exporting data pertaining to an entity.

  • Also, while deleting an organization in Zoho Invoice, we'll be listing out the integrations enabled in that organization. This is to let you know the third-party sites to which your data has been pushed from this organization.By deleting your organization, data which was stored as a result of that integration will not be deleted.


Zoho Invoice - Zoho People Integration

Zoho Invoice can now be integrated with Zoho People! With this integration, you could push all your employee time logs to Zoho Invoice. You can invoice your customers based on the time spent on each task by your employees. To know more details about this integration, you can refer to our help document .





Zoho Invoice - Zoho Mail Integration



Have your transactions and emails under one slab! Integrate your Zoho Invoice account with Zoho Mail and have a check on all your mail activities from your Zoho Invoice organization. This integration simplifies the process of attaching documents to your emails and you wouldn't miss on a single mail from your customer. To set this up, you can refer to our   help document .





Client Approval for Time Entries


Using Client Approval, you can first send your time entries to your clients and once they approve, you can invoice the same. This would avoid last minute confusion and make your invoicing process an error-free one. If you're yet to try this one, click here to know the steps to set it up.





Web Tabs
 
The various tabs you open in your browser separately can be brought inside Zoho Invoice using our Web Tabs feature. No more switching tabs! Just enable this feature and have everything under Zoho Invoice. 

 


Customer Credit Limit

Have a check on the credit your customer owes you setting a credit limit for your customers. It helps you to have a complete control over your company's receivables. Try this feature by referring to our help  document .





In-App Notifications


The In-App Notification allows you to notify your users within the organization whenever a specific action occurs. You can set up a workflow that automatically sends out notifications. If you would like to try this out, here's our help document .






GSTR - 1 Filing (Indian Edition)
 
File your GST returns through Zoho Invoice! GSTR-1 can be directly filed from your Zoho Invoice account. If you would like to know in detail about how it works, here's our help document .




SMS Integration


You can now integrate Zoho Invoice with Twilio, a cloud based application that lets you send SMS notifications to your customers regarding payment reminders and invoices. Your clients will no longer have to dig into their emails! If you would like to try this out, refer to our help document .
