A year in review: Mobile app highlights of 2020

Hello fellow form builders,

2020 was yet another transformative year, and it's time we take a quick rundown on the highlights. And make sure to keep reading to the end of the post, when we'll give you a sneak peek of what's to come in 2021!

As a team, remote work brought challenges, including difficulty fostering and managing effective communication. Thanks to our Zoho tools, we've managed to stay connected and work effectively, even though we weren't next to each other.

Our focus for the year was creating new opportunities for engagement and data collection for our mobile app users. As we worked towards that goal, we listened to your suggestions and queries and rolled out new features, as we continued to support the available features in the web application. Here's a quick rundown:

What to expect in 2021: .

It's all about making data collection simpler and more effective.

1. Communicate more clearly with image annotations.
Annotating images lets you communicate exactly what you mean than just uploading the image itself.

2. Capture contact data with a quick scan.
This one's for the Android users out there! Get contact details into forms quicker by letting users quickly scan their business card. The scanned information will autofill card details into the form.

3. Capture location easier
Instead of asking respondents to enter location details, use Google Maps to capture the location information.

4. Don't sweat connectivity issues
During any internet connectivity issues, choose the offline mode and restrict the Zoho Forms mobile application from syncing with the internet. Later, on a stable internet connection, you can sync and save your form data.

5. More exciting features
  • In-app notification upon new submissions - Stay updated with notifications in your mobile device whenever a new form submission comes in.
  • Dark Mode for live form UI - Make form filling easier for anyone using a mobile device in low light.
And that's a wrap. Happy Holidays everyone!

Best,
Prasana
