Accessing values in multiple select fields

I cannot seem to access all the values in multiselect field within a script. I wish to put all values in a input.multiselectfield into a email message on submit. I tried the method in the documentation but script builder does not recognize my field as a field with multiple values that I can iterate through. If I use the field directly I only get the first value.

If this is unclear I will try to explain better.
