Add feature to Database

Can you add a column automatically to online database of when a record is added to the database from a web-embedded form. Something like "Date created"?
And allow the records to be sorted by date. "Save Lincoln Park" has 1055 records and we would like to be able to know who joined the list when. After we do a email or do an public event and people enter their info on our website at www.savelincolnpark.org - it would be very useful to pull new records out of the database that were created after a date or within a date range.
