Hi everyone
I've recently taken on the role providing technical support to a charity here in the UK. We provide emergency out of hours transportation of blood, platelets, human milk etc. for the health service here in the UK.
We have a Zoho Creator app that our controllers use to log a call from a hospital, assign it to a blood biker, and record collection and delivery details etc.
Currently our blood biker has to fill out a paper receipt and request a signature from the person receiving the consignment. Purchase and postage of receipt books is expensive for us and we are investigating the possibility of an app to record delivery details and record them on our main database.
We would need an app that would work on Android and IOS. Availability of the app would need to be limited to our charity members. It would require users to register, and be approved, but without requiring a zoho account.
When the app is loaded, the user should be able to select from a list of open calls (there's only ever likely to be a couple of calls open simultaneously) and then have the receiver sign on screen that they have taken delivery. Name, time and geolocation should be recorded. I've seen and experimented with the signature field so I know this function can be fulfilled.
I'd appreciate
anyone's views on this - I don't think it is particularly complex. It seems
like the registration/approval/login process must be a fairly standard process but I'm new to this.
I'd also like any views on what could be done if there is no network availability at the time of delivery - could the app recognise that the app is effectively offline, and store the digital signature and other details for synchronization later?
I'd appreciate any views anyone could give - including perhaps examples of similar applications that I could look at.
Many thanks
Neil
