Attention Deluge Developers: Important Update Regarding "Send Email Deluge Task"

Attention Deluge Developers: Important Update Regarding "Send Email Deluge Task"

Hi Deluge Users,

We hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you about a recent update on the Send emails deluge task. If you are using this deluge task (SalesIQ Scripts) for your Zobot, widgets, or form controllers to send emails, please read this carefully.
Note: This will not affect the Codeless bot builder's Send email card and all other email-related configurations in the Global settings.
Google has introduced a DMARC quarantine enforcement policy to strengthen security and reduce spam within its platform. Due to this policy, sending emails by the "send email deluge task" directly through Gmail addresses (From address), googlemail.com or gmail.com will not be possible from 1st February.

What does this mean?

Upon using the Send email task with a Gmail address, it will not send emails successfully.
  • If the Super Admin/admin (zoho.adminuserid) email address has a Gmail address as the account mail ID, such accounts will be affected.
  • If the zoho.loginuserid returns the domain value gmail.com or googlemail.com and is used in the 'from' address, the emails will not be sent.
How to resolve this issue?

To continue sending emails through the "Send email deluge task," we encourage using email addresses other than Gmail, preferably non-public ones. For that,
  • Verified domain name: Get a verified domain email address, this could be your own domain or a domain managed by a third-party service. For example, if the Super admin/admin has an email address with a Gmail domain, they can update the workflow by replacing the zoho.adminuserid with another verified email address (e.g., xyz@zylker.com).
  • DKIM alignment: Authenticating your domain will verify your DKIM record and help fulfill Gmail's criteria. To add a DKIM Record(s), kindly contact (support@zohodeluge.com).
  • Configure the From address: After authenticating, update the "From" field in your "Send Email" function to use your new email address.
Before:
  1. sendmail
  2. [
  3. from: zoho.adminuserid
  4. to: "<recipient mail id>"
  5. subject: "<subject>"
  6. message: "<message>"
  7. ]
After:
  1. sendmail
  2. [
  3. from: "xyz@zylker.com"
  4. to: "<recipient mail id>"
  5. subject: "<subject>"
  6. message: "<message>"
  7. ]
  • DMARC record - Ensure that the DMARC record for the domain is published, with at least the policy set to "none". For example, assuming you purchased your domain on Dreamhost.com, you must visit their platform and configure the DMARC policy as "none," following the instructions.
We understand this change may require adjustments to your existing programs. However, complying with Google's DMARC policy is important for ensuring secure and reliable email delivery. Ensure that you make adequate changes before 1st February to restore sending emails seamlessly.

If you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact (support@zohodeluge.com). Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Sincerely,
Sasidar Thandapani,
