Audit Trail or History of Changes?

Audit Trail or History of Changes?

First I love ZC and am working on an application to track participants, their lessons & assessments for a therapeutic riding program. I need it to have 2 users add & update records and was wondering if 1 instructor updated an assessment record is there a way that these changes are stored somewhere?
(similar to the way that Writer stores the "history" and you can view the prior entry.
I see there are fields for Last Modified Time & Last Modified User, but no field for storing the changes that were made. I am tyring to get through the Deluge scripting to see if this can be done, but not familiar with programming & finding it alittle overwelming at this point.
