I'm trying to automatically populate certain fields when another field gets populated.

We have a service module that contains a customer number field. What I'm trying to do is once that field is populated I need other fields automatically populated. That data needs to come from the contacts module.

So I'm guessing that it will required a workflow rule that uses a custom function. I need help to develop that process.
