Autofilter for Non-dropdown fields

Hi,
I have fields like
Firstname , Last name ( single line fields)

I woudl like to have a filter for these two fields
in the view.

But it seems i can only get auto filters for "dropdown fields"
and for custom filter i have to say
::lastname:: -- equals (etc as listed) --- some value.

I want a filter for all the last names in the view.
I shave shared the application "Testing filters" with suport
Form name --> Names

Please advice,
