Using Zoho Writer, I'm having problems having a superscript actually display as superscript.

In the example below, I want the (R) registered trademark symbol as a superscript:

When I click the superscript button while having the symbol highlighted, it just makes the symbol smaller, while still centered vertically with the rest of the text:

This is incorrect. How does one go about fixing this?
