Bug with URL Functionality Based Login

I'm making an observation I posted here into a bug report: http://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/registered-user-subclass

Using functionality based urls (Ref: http://help.creator.zoho.com/Functionality-based-URLs.html), the ZOHO sign-in page no longer has a link to "sign-up for free". The user is forced to perform a federated sign-in or leave the application.
