Bulk delete??

Dear Zoho,

Since Zoho doesn't have the ability bulk 'update' records (not append), I am looking at a work around. My zoho database will contain about 3000 records which I obviously will not be able to maintain one by one. The zoho database will contain information from a database I maintain locally. My idea is to update my zoho database every month (not ideal but better than nothing) by uploading the updated records from an excel file (the excel file is generated from a query & export of my local database). In order to avoid duplication of records when I upload the updated data from the excel, I firstly want to delete all the data in my zoho database. I can't see immediately how I can do this. Am I missing something here?

I would love if I could somehow I could automate this process but looking at previous forum entries on local applications (not going to be supported) and xml options (possibly but no road-map!) it is not going to happen soon. In the mean time, I need some advise please.
