Bulk edit bug - radio/required/unique fields?

I have a small database (a dozen records). When I try to bulk edit a couple records, I get this error:

1 . Enter a value for Position .
2 . Enter a value for Character .

Error occurred on executing deluge script.

The field I was trying to change was a Radio button; the two fields mentioned in the error are simple Single Line text fields. However, both are Required, and Must Be Unique.
