Calendar embed view does not have forward and back or month name

Calendar embed view does not have forward and back or month name

I embedded a calendar view and allowed editing and adding events. In the embed view the top ribbon is blank, there is no arrows to go forward and back through months and the month name does not appear.

I can't find any options to set this. How can I make the embed view look lthe same as the view within the app?
