Cannot change field from Decimal to Number

Cannot change field from Decimal to Number

I have some fields I need to change from Decimal to Number.

After changing, leaving the form, and re-entering the Form, the fields are still Decimal.

Also tried to change another field, hoping that might help, but that field remains changed, but Number fields stay Decimal.

There is not a message saying it cannot be done, because the Fields are used elsewhere.

Can this be fixed??
