Create a check register

Hi:
I am trying to make a check register in Creator but the formula of "previous balance - payments + deposits" isn't really feasible because the previous balance is not a field. Any ideas of how to do this?

Any chance you could make a template?

What I'm aiming for is to get the payments and deposits and the day's balance show on a calendar view.
