Create Row in another Form after Insert

Is it possible to create an entry in a form when an entry in another form has been created? For example, Form A entries are required in all cases and Form B is a type of Form A entity but with additional information. Is it possible to Add a row to Form A after creating a row in Form B? The data for Form A would be derived from the data entered in Form B.
