Creator - issue with importing linefeeds

My Excel do contains with linefeeds in them. This is used when creating multiline data cells. When importing this data in to Creator, it incorrectly interprets then as end of lines.
The end of lines are actually marked with CR/LF.
Anyone any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
