Custom Function calculating Revenue in Year

I hope you are well and staying safe.

Our organisation needs some help with the implementation of a custom function that would calculate Revenue In Year for any opportunities. Please find an example of the formula:

Contract Start Date = 01/03/2021
End of Year Date = 31/12/2021
Total Annual Contract = £200,000

Revenue in Year = Total Annual Contract*((Contract Start Date - End of Year Date)/12) = £200,000*8/12 = £83,333

Any help would be highly appreciated!
