Has anyone got any examples of accessing Creator records from CRM?

I want to add a button in my Potentials CRM View Detail page that gets the Deal ID, looks up that Deal ID in a Creator Module and then adds a record to another Creator Module.

I would have expected there to be something similar to Zoho.creator.searchRecords() but the creator service doesn't exist.

Any ideas?
