Displaying formula fields, and formulas on formulas

Two problems (I can't find a help category in the forums, so I went here) these are definitely "not bugs" just "can't figure out how to"

1. I'd like to display the value of a formula inside my form, is there a way to do this.

2. I've got several formulas, now I'd like to create a formula based upon these new fields, however when I put in the field name of the formula, it tells me that the field is "not defined."
