I just get an empty form with the text:"Drag and drop fields here and edit their properties..."

Advice please, as I want to add more fields and edit existings once. The form works fine for entry and view older entires but cannot edit anymore! I tried adding a test field which was added to the form but that too is gone then trying to edit...
