Error occured while creating the Application

I'm trying to create the Help Desk app and I get the following error.

Error occured while creating the Application
.Please try again

Even when trying to create a different app in the same list it does not work. The error only occurs in Firefox. When trying it in IE7 it just asks me to download a file, after accepting it it brings me back to the enter app name page. Nothing ever gets created.

Any solutions?
