I have an Excel date field formatted as e.g. 27-Jan-2010 which I thought was an acceptable format for creator. It does not import any values whatsoever. Both creator and excel use the same field names.

Also, I have a creator URL field which accurately imports properly constructed url's from excel as text values, but which are not clickable links.

Any thoughts on these issues would be sincerely appreciated.
