Exporting Question

I am new to databases. The database I want to build may not get bigger than 1000 records, so I may be able to use the free service as long as it is offered with its current parameters. I have been playing with setting up a form and find it very user-friendly. My concern is that if my database does, over time, grow to more than 1000 records, then it will not be a good idea for me to pay monthly to accommodate it. It is part of my hobby for which I can't incur monthly bills for the many years I hope to have left. So I would need at that point to export my database and import it into something on my hard drive, maybe FileMaker Pro or something similar. I am not using one of the standard templates but creating my own for a surname study database. Can I be reassured that if my database grows too big for the free service, I would be able to export/import it into another program without trouble?
