Failed email login with Thunderbird

I just bought a domain name from godaddy.com earlier today. I've set up my zoho account and can properly log into the zoho mail server. I'm finding it increasingly difficult however to allow any email clients to cooperate with me and allow me to properly login and sync my emails. It always come back in Thunderbird that logon has failed to authorize my credentials and to check the username or password. I've double checked and double checked until my fingers have hurt from copying and pasting the information back into the web client. Please help. Any other information will be provided upon request as long as someone has a prompt solution. This is for a business and I'd like to get the client up and running as soon as I can.
