Field types radio, check box, multi select etc. don't work

It seems that when I try to add a new field in zoho creator, it fails if it is anything that allows multiple choices, or that lists alternatives. (check box, radio button etc.)

I get the message "please wait" and eventually another message pops up: "error occurred. we are sorry for the inconvenience. please try after some time or refresh the page and try again"

This seems to happen no matter what options or data I add to the field definition. Refreshing and/or waiting does not fix the error.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4 under windows xp.
