Form edits changing

Hi Have just started with Zoho - looks like a great product - but have just spent a long time entering a form. Every time I reopen it the postcodes (In Australia 4 digits) have 1. the mandatory field off and 2. the maximum digits off. I keep changing them but they keep going back. ? Any ideas? Cheers Bellinda
