Form Validate : alert message not displayed, is this a FF3.5 issue?

Form Validate : alert message not displayed, is this a FF3.5 issue?

Hi Team,

I am trying to have some data validation done at Form Validate

However, when i just give 

    
    
     
  1.  Form - Validate
    2. 
     
  2. Alert (input.email)
    3.

This alert fail to appear when the form is submitted.

Could this be a FF.3.5 & IE 8 issue?
