Forum - ease of use

As forum activity is high, it would be nice if forum posts were divided into many more categories rather than just one for mail. I would suggest a basic FAQ one and then various sub forum topics. Search option could then be all forums or only within active tab (sub forum). Forum header already lists as "forums categories" but this presently is just threads.
