Help needed with Custom Deluge Script

I need to create a workflow which will automatically update a date field with a date based on another field date (which has been generated by a formula field) plus a given number of days. In this case 344days. I can work out the trigger part and validation conditions however I think I need a deluge custom script to complete this and am having great difficulty in writing one.
