I am trying to get vender records to show up in my android galaxy caller id and call history.
Zoho Help directed me to do the following:
In Zoho CRM market place, I have set up a sync between CRM contacts and Google contacts.
On my Samsung galaxy phone I have set up a sync between Google contacts and the native Samsung contact app.
Both syncs work
Now my phone caller id shows the contact info for incoming and outgoing calls.
The issue is this: I can't find a way to sync the Zoho CRM Vender list to my phone.
This is very problematic as most of my calls are "to" or "from" my vendors.
I can create a vendor contact for each vendor, which is great when I have a contact for my vendor,
However, most of my vendors are a direct call to the company, not to a specific contact in the company.
I would need to create a contact record that duplicates the vendor record in every way, including using the name of the vendor as the contact name.
I have several hundred vendors, which would mean several hundred contact records duplicating the vendor record. Duplicate records are a recipe for error, and is also a huge amount of work.
To eliminate unworkable solutions:
1. I need the vendors to remain listed as vendors so they sync with Zoho Books. So changing the vendor record to a contact will not work.
2. Creating an identical contact record for each vendor is to problematic as noted above
3. Thus far, Zoho help has been "No Help". They tell me it can't be done.
I can't be the only one who needs vendors to show up in caller id and phone history.
Is there no direct sync between Zoho CRM app contacts and vendors with the native android contact app?
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks in advance!
