How do I tap into my users?

I have an entity in my app to which I want to assign an owner to each record. Instead of creating a separate Contacts entity and managing the users there and linking that through a lookup, I'd rather just assign from the users already defined for access to my app. How do I basically do a Lookup field that references the zoho user base for the app?
