I am currently trying to add new fields to one of the forms in my application. I drag it to the form canvas, type in name and see how it is placed in the form layout. But as soon as I refresh the form design view - the new field is gone! I tried several browsers and they all have this problem. I remember having this same problem half a year ago. I remember reporting this problem (could not find the topic) and I was then told that it is a browser issue. I don't buy it. If that would be a browser issue then I would not be able to build or modify any forms and it would be reproducible issue. This is not. Common! This is a very basic feature. It should just work!
I have reported other issues. Some as obvious problems are not fixed weeks or months after they were reported. There are new ZOHO products popping up as mushrooms after the rain. There are Creator integrations announced with many other (unfinished) products. Yet, basic bugs in the Creator do not get addressed (in my experience). I am sometimes wondering who is using the Creator. How can I trust serious data to Creator with such bugs!? All is well while you have 100 records. But when you start to use it for a real application -
bugs, bugs, bugs! I am a paying customer. I don't care about ZOHO Books, ZOHO Anything (I do consider Reports an
essential part of the Creator). Fix the basic Creator functionality first and then add new. I have researched these discussions more and I see that there are many important issues that are not addressed. What is more important to ZOHO - 100 free users of ZOHO Creator that want to add ZOHO Books integration or 1 - 3 paying customers who would build serious applications? Now it looks that ZOHO is going for larger eye count, not serious application count.Which means I might be storing my data in the wrong place.
