IE 6 is NOT showing images in GUI mode

Hello, just stumbled across a serious bug. In GUI mode IE6 with Service Pack 2 installed doesn't always show all images. That makes the interface quite complicated to navigate. Crucial buttons like save/edit/cancel don't show thus making it nearly impossible to understand how to make changes to a form or view.

My workaround is to move the mouse around the screen (like a blind person) and watch it change into a hand. Whenever I am hoovering over a missing image, I right click and perform a "show image".

But this is quite cumbersome.

Could you please have a look into this.
I've got the impression that this problem started after I changed the setting in my explorer - to reload a page every time I visit it - as a workaround for the bug that the content doesn't get updated because of caching problems. But now I experience other bugs in return.

best regards,
Frans
