Inherit VAT number of parent account

We create a lot of child accounts and currently, we have to enter all information (fields) manually even though we would like to use the info of the parent account.

For example: Would the following scenario be possible?:

- I create a new child account (Account B)

- The field "VAT number" of Account B is populated automatically with the same number as the VAT number of the parent Account (Account A)

In other words: Do you have inheritance functionality which I can use for this?
