linking forms/views, and adding documents?
Hi there! My company is using Zoho Creator to create a searchable database of market research vendors. Using a combination of forms and views, we've created a great source for searching for/adding vendors, their points of contacts, and user reviews on the vendors.
The team had a request I haven't been able to figure out, and I'm wondering if it's possible. Is there a way to link the views together? E.g., the user would look up a vendor, and would see the points of contact and average 1-5 scale rating for reviews on that vendor's record. Currently, it's 3 separate actions (find vendor record, then look up reviews, then look up contact people, all on different view forms), although there is a drop down list of which vendor you want to attach the contact person or review to.
Secondly, vendors often send us powerpoint presentations or PDFs representing their capabilities. Is there a way to upload such files to link to each vendor record? I added an "upload file" link on the record, but after uploading a sample PDF, I don't see a way the user could feasibly download the file. We'd prefer to block the user we're sharing the app with from editing, in case something goes awry, but I don't even see a way to download the attachment if the edit option is there.
Any suggestions on whether we can integrate these features, or how we can make this run a little more smoothly? Thanks!
