Mapping Contact Custom Field to Lead Custom Field

Hi all

Please can you help with a Zoho CRM question. 

I would like to add functionality which will update a field for a record in the lead module when a value is updated in a record in the contacts module. So they both show the same value. 

The result I am looking for is: 

  1. In the contact record there is a field named contact status
  2. When updated I want the lead to show the same value in a custom field named deal contact status

The key identifier between the two records will be the email. I have a workflow to create a lead record when a contact is created with specific criteria. It populates the field on creation but cannot create a rule to updates the lead record when the contact is updated. 

I have created the custom fields, I just dont know how to map them to each other. Presumably will need a workflow with a function?
