mulitvalue dropdown

Any plans to have a database value and a display value for dropdowns? So instead of US state values being:

Alabama
Florida
Georgia

They would be
AL
FL
GA

but would display the same the full names and store the abbreviations.

You would need to give us the ability to specify the display value and the database value

Display Value | Database Value
_____________ | ____________
_____________ | ____________

...

Which works great for dropdowns with 50 or less values.
For larger dropdowns, also need dropdowns created from another form/table and setup so we can specify the display and database value.
