New to Zoho and maybe I am missing something

Hi all,

Maybe I am missing something, looking in the wrong place, or using the wrong tool(s).

I am trying to build a very simple inventory app. There are products, there are stores, and then there is a need for the stores to order more product. This is at a very high level and there are a bunch of sub functions that occur (reorder points, batch rollup, etc...) that I won't bother with here.

But in order for this to occur I would be nice if there was the ability for a master/detail page or maybe even being able to dynamically being able to build fields on the fly. For example if I can't build the master/detail page maybe a dynamic order form based up the products form/view which would create a single line textbox with a label of the product type.

Or, while I haven't used this yet, a way to tie creator to zoho db and I could possibly build what I need that way.

Am I just not getting it? Looking in the wrong spot? using the wrong tools? I know it is possible and fairly easy since I have done similar things in the past for other apps.

Please help feeling like an idiot right now.
