Hi, I've had some really quirky drama's with my forms and Zoho insists they can't do anything about it so I'm looking for any and all help. The sole reason I put this client with Zoho was their form capabilities and now they aren't working as they should which has been supremely frustrating.
FIRST CHALLENGE: We have 2 forms for clients to complete which are quite long and involve them uploading up to 5 images.
What is happening is that the "please wait" that should tell the client that something is happening isn't working at all. So Zoho told me to embed the form with the Creator Page Name into the web page via an iframe, which I've done, and the "please wait" is there
BUT its not at the scroll location. It's half way up the page so the client still can't see it and thinks nothing is happening. Even with the form embeded our drama's don't end there - the redirect only redirects inside the frame so that's not a professional solution either.
I'm so frustrated as this seem like a basic feature. Who has the "please wait" off the page? That's just not realistic and they tell me theres nothing they can do. I can't be the first person who's had this challenge surely??
SECOND CHALLENGE - is that the form tries to upload the images BEFORE validating, so the client has waited for 2 minutes and then it fails anyway because of a missing field but the error message only lasts 3 seconds so if they are not looking at their screen they don't see it and again have no idea what's going on. IF we have the form on the page (not inside an iframe) the message does show very briefly, but llike I said if you aren't looking at the exact location it appears, in 3 seconds its gone and looks like nothing has happened. So again - the client doesn't know the forms failed and just keeps clicking the button.
Again Zoho has told me this isn't changeable.
So - is there anyway of validating the required fields as a group using the On Validate function without having to type in every single one. IE I would prefer not to have to step through checking every single field if I can avoid it.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this happening before and how it was solved? Like I say I can't believe that the waiting message isn't at the scroll point and while I could probably get around the validation happening after the photo uploads, does anyone know of a solution to the client just sitting there seeing nothing.
Our website is with Zoho too so that has me even more frustrated. Thanks in advance for any help. I am at the point I'm going to have to go to a third party form and that is extra $$ this client would rather not pay. They are a dog rescue and funds are very limited.
