Preserve Ticket Issue Mapping When Migrating from Jira to Zoho Projects

Hello Zoho Projects Team,
We hope you are doing well.

We are currently exploring a full migration from Jira to Zoho Projects, and we identified a critical limitation during the migration process involving Zoho Desk integration.

Current Situation:
We use the Zoho Desk ↔ Jira integration to link Jira issues to Zoho Desk tickets.

For example:
Zoho Desk Ticket: #1234
Linked Jira Issue: #6789

During migration from Jira to Zoho Projects Jira Issue #6789 is correctly migrated to Zoho Projects as Bug #98765.

However, after migration, Zoho Desk Ticket #1234 is still linked to the old Jira issue instead of automatically linking to the new Zoho Projects Bug #98765.

This results in broken links and requires manual relinking of every migrated issue, which is not feasible for large migrations and creates serious workflow disruption.

Requested Enhancement:
We request that Zoho adds automatic link preservation during migration so when migrating from Jira to Zoho Projects, any Desk ticket linked to a Jira issue should be automatically relinked to the newly created Zoho Projects bug/task that replaces it.

Benefits:
  1. Enables smooth migration from Jira to Zoho Projects
  2. Prevents manual relinking of hundreds or thousands of tickets
  3. Preserves historical context and traceability
  4. Avoids user confusion and broken workflows
  5. Supports full Jira → Zoho Projects migration strategy

Please consider this as a high-value migration feature that will help many Jira users successfully move to Zoho Projects without losing ticket linkage integrity.

Thank you for your consideration and continued improvements to the Zoho ecosystem.

Kind regards,
Ram
