Record Access Based on User

I have searched the forums but do not see an answer to this. I need to restrict salespeople to only seeing and updating their own records only. Managers and Admins will be able to see all. But I do not want salespeople to be able to view/update others records. Is this possible?

I know I can restrict by Groups but I need more granular control.
