Regarding Mass Email Follow Up Actions

Hi,

We recently started a mass email campaign and noticed an option for 'add follow up' during the set up stage. I had a few queries for anyone who has used this before,

  1. The follow up option is template based. Does that mean it Zoho will send out the follow up mail to all recipients who received a mail fron that template even if they were not part of the current campaign plan?
  2. If yes, any way to negate the action? We only want to send follow ups to ones part of the contact list selected during the mass campaign, not to any other contacts who received a mail from us using the same template on previous dates
  3. Does Zoho initiate a new mail thread with the follow up or does a reply to action?
