search function

Hi, I am trying to set up a network database online, so people can enter profession related information, and it goes into my zoho database online, which I have successfully done. However, I have difficulties to create a search page, which will let user search the database and display all the search results on the web page. For example, the user can search under the zip code for carpenters, and once the user hit the submit button, the following page will display the results of all the carpenters within that zip code. Can you give me the exact steps how to create that search page?
