Search interface HTML view does not work when embedded in external site

Hi, I recently created a search interface for my view following Latha's article here ( https://kbase.creator.zoho.com/forms/search-interface) and this allowed me to create multiple search criteria/filters which is great.

However, when I embed this HTML view in an external site, the search interface does not work. I am embedding this view in an external site to allow me to create a really custom header for the application.

My questions are:

Is it possible to get the search interface to work when embedded in an external site?

Is it possible to customise a Zoho Creator application more than the simple logo and template changes allowed as a standard subscriber? I would like a completely customised header.
