Sharing bug...any help?

When I try to change the view called CalorieSpy_data from public to private, the following occurs

1. I click the word 'change' in ''CalorieSpy data' view is Public (change)'
2. the progress bar appears very briefly
3. the words ''CalorieSpy data' view is Public (change)' disappear completely, and the status bar reads 'Done'.
4. If I choose to view the sharing details of CalorieSpy_data again, I see ''CalorieSpy data' view is Public (change)' when it should read ''CalorieSpy data' view is Private (change)'.
