subform workaround?

ok, so subforms are on the roadmap, but still a long time until they are implemented on Zoho Creator. In the meantime, I was wondering if any user/developer has a workaround he/she could share with the rest of us? If you know how to "simulate" a subform functionality, please post the link for your app so that we can play and learn... thank you so much.

something like that: you see a list of purchase orders, you click on one, it takes you to the details where you can see all products included in that specific purchase order... (substitute "purchase order" for anything you like, boxes, containers, invoices, drawers...)
