I have a client code that follow the pattern below

0302Z001

The first 4 numbers indicate the region and province of the client (0302). This is followed by a letter (Z) for the name and then a 3 digit number 001.

What I could like to do is make a formula field that only takes the first 4 digits (0302). Can this be done by either trimming the 4 didgits or by retaining all digits before the letter (Z).
